A round-up of the bigger changes since March. The changelog has the per-release detail; this is the narrative.
Grammar got a lot more useful
The 108 grammar entries have been in the app for a while, but two changes made them feel different. First, hover or click any character inside a grammar entry to see its pinyin and definition. You can read an example sentence without bouncing out to a dictionary. Second, every entry now displays its HSK level next to the CEFR band — so an A2 entry that's actually HSK 4 vocabulary is now obvious.
Native-speaker audio everywhere
Every word lookup, every review card, every graded-reader sentence now has a play button backed by Google Cloud TTS. The audio is cached per-word, so playback is instant after the first listen. If the server is down, the app falls back to your browser's built-in voice — degraded but never broken.
"Known" is no longer a sticker
Previously, marking a word as known changed the label but didn't put the card into SRS. That was wrong: you'd never see the word again, even if you forgot it. Now, hitting known seeds a tiled FSRS card with a long initial interval. You'll see the word again in a few months, and if you've forgotten it, the system catches you.
Eighteen new graded readers
Three new folktale-based stories at each HSK level. They're longer than the previous set — designed for sustained reading, not just sentence drills. The library now goes from "one paragraph at HSK 1" up to "full chapter at HSK 6".
Smaller wins worth a mention
The dashboard streak finally counts reading from your local library, not just the central book corpus. The vocabulary list got a details dialog with full SRS history. Stray clicks on a vocab row no longer cycle status (that bit us a few times). Promo codes work at checkout. A card is required to start the free trial.
